Starting out of a garage in Oceanside California in 2004, Brixton is a vintage-inspired clothing and accessories brand that bases it's style around craftsmanship, adventure and creativity, as well as nodding to their backdrop of the Southern Californian landscape. Artists, Musicians, Travelers, and Builders form the variety of lifestyles that Brixton associates itself with, and at Urban Industry we enjoy presenting their great ranges to our customer base.

This May, we took the key pieces from the Spring Summer collection to Hastings Old Town, located just 15 miles away from the Urban Industry store to highlight the brilliant versatility of the range. Fountains, cobblestone streets, nineteenth century architecture, fishing culture, steep hills and known for the historic 1066 Battle of Hastings, this town provided many visually outstanding areas to work with.
So firstly, let's talk about our favourite item from the collection, the Bunker Woven Slub Shirt, pictured above. A summer staple, this floral printed shirt is extremely soft and comes in a regular fit so it oozes with comfort and style, perfect for a summer's day in the park or hanging out at the beach. Another shirt we wanted to showcase is the Charter Slub Woven Shirt, a similar design to the Bunker, but with tortoiseshell buttons and a geometric pattern. If the weather takes a turn, then there's the classic Summer Weight Bowery Woven Shirt in Blue Heaven / Gunmetal, brilliantly designed to be lightweight but add a layer of protection from both the sun's rays and the colder evenings.
Paired with the shirts, there's the Choice Chino Shorts in two colourways of sand vintage wash and black for versatility. An updated design that's both durable and comfortable, these shorts have been created using 39% recycled polyester, part of Brixton's more sustainable offering.
Brixton is known for their wide selection of hats, at Urban Industry we're particularly fond of the Snapback Caps. Another example of Brixton introducing a more sustainable element to fashion, the Crest C MP Snapback Cap in Dark Earth Cord has been captured below, has been made using recycled fishing nets. An ideal accessory to keep the harsh light out of your eyes on a sunny day, ventilating eyelets, an embroidered Brixton patch and a twill material symbolise the heritage of the brand and the practicality of their accessory range.
Keep your eyes peeled for more installments from Brixton, each delivery that arrives brings more exciting products that we can't wait to capture and write about.
