Introducing the Karhu x Universal Works Trampas Shoes in Rainy Day/Fennel Seed, a collaborative effort between legendary Finnish sportswear brand Karhu and British contemporary clothing brand Universal Works.
The Karhu Trampas Shoes were developed from a need to have a shoe that athletes could do their everyday training in.
Back in the mid 60s running footwear was limited and "training" shoes didn't exist. There were spikes for workouts and competition, but no shoes to warm up, cool down, or put easy miles in.
Staying true to the original design Karhu have kept with a super soft suede upper that's easy to wear in yet durable at the same time. The streamlined midsole sits atop a substantial rubber midsole that's built with traction and cushioning in mind.
A muted colourway in Ecru, Khaki and Navy ties the collaboration together, creating a seamless transition into any wardrobe. Detailed with Karhu's M-logo turned upside down on the lateral side of both shoes, symbolising a 'W' for Universal Works. This iteration of the iconic Trampas Shoes truly brings the Karhu x Universal Works ongoing Future Friendship Project to life.
