Fit & Sizing Recommendations

• The brand notes that this garment is cut for an accessory format, offering a substantial one litre brewing volume suited for two to three regular mugs.
• Carhartt WIP notes to ensure adequate clearance in your rucksack or camp crate, as the rigid double wall body measures roughly twenty centimetres in height.
• A wide circular base provides exceptional stability on uneven timber picnic tables, stones, and camping cooktops.

Washing & Care Instructions

• Disassemble the plunger, mesh screen, and lid assembly after each use for thorough cleaning.
• Hand wash all components using warm water and mild dishwashing liquid to preserve the polished silver finish.
• Do not use abrasive scouring pads or harsh chemical cleaners that can scratch the metal surfaces.
• Air dry completely before screwing the filter unit back together for long term pack storage.

Carhartt WIP Camp Carhartt French Press FAQs

1. How much coffee does this French press hold? It features a full capacity of approximately one litre, easily yielding two large mugs or three standard cups in one brew.
2. Can I put this French press directly over an open camping flame or stove burner? No, double walled insulated steel vessels should never be placed over direct flame or burner elements, as pressure build up within the vacuum wall can cause serious damage; simply boil your water separately and pour it in.
3. How long will coffee remain hot inside the vessel? Thanks to the twin wall stainless build, it retains serving heat considerably longer than standard glass cafetieres, keeping your brew hot for over forty minutes.
4. Does the steel impart any metallic taste to the coffee? No, high grade kitchen stainless steel is non reactive and inert, ensuring your coffee tastes pure and authentic.
5. Is the filter screen replaceable if worn down over time? The plunger unscrews completely via standard threaded components, making cleaning straightforward and allowing standard universal mesh replacements if ever required.
