The Urban Industry Novesta shoes Fit Guide - How exactly do the Star Master and Dribble Size Up?
Slovakian made Novesta are some of our favourite classic pumps style shoes. Well made, well priced and many are vegan friendly which is unusual for any shoes.
One thing though, before you buy... Novesta Shoes comes up BIG!
We're not sure why but they build them big in Slovakia. Oversized, roomy, long - No less comfortable though but you do need to know a few things before you buy a pair.
To really take a read on how Novesta shoes fit we asked a few of our staff members to try on a pair of the Star Masters and the Star Dribbles to get their opinion on how big they were. The results are below.
SPOILER ALERT - You need to buy a size down...
Above we have Gary (Buying Administrator) wearing the Star Master. Gary wears a UK11 in most shoes from Nike, Vans, Converse and in this image he is wearing a standard pair of UK11 Novesta Star Masters straight out of the box. See the size difference!
In this picture the Novesta UK11 is almost 2 sizes too big for him, he felt most comfortable going down 2 sizes to a UK9 but did say that he's probably need a thin sock at that point. Still comfortable though at a UK9 and the perfect sized Novesta for him.
Josh (Warehouse Manager) UK 10 normally.. Again the Novesta UK10 was too big. He went down one size and was fine with that. He commented he may have gone down one and half sizes for his ultimate Novesta fit but otherwise all good.
Dan (Owner) usually a UK10.5 to UK11 in Nike and Danner boots felt going down 2 UK sizes was too tight but maybe could be worn with a sneaker no-show sock and got away with it. One size down to a UK9.5 was enough to wear a normal day sock and be comfortable.
All in all, you can see that Novesta come up big. We definitely recommend you DON'T order your usual size that you might buy from Nike, adidas, New Balance etc and definitely go one whole size down and if we have the stock perhaps even try 1.5 sizes down. We feel this will give you the best chance to wear the Novesta style correctly and comfortably!
