The Patagonia Fleece Brand Story

Patagonia Fleece can truly lay claim to being the first of its kind, bringing fleece clothing the world. In 1979 in a joint venture between Malden Mills, (now Polartec), and Patagonia they developed Synchilla, a play on Chinchilla as a new light and strong fabric made to mimic natural wool. 

Over 40 years later, Fleece is everywhere and Patagonia Clothing still make some amazing pieces. We stock various colours of the Retro Pile jacket, an iconic mid layer jacket that, as the name suggests, is based on one of Patagonia's earliest styles. A deep pile jacket made from 100% Recycled Polyester.
