Folk: A Classic British Clothing Brand With New Seasonal Pieces

Since it’s inception in 2002, Founder Cathal McAteer has been designing styles that blend streetwear styles with an architect-designer aesthetic, creating designs that suit both casual, everyday wear, yet can be spruced up for formal attire. The Assembly range has been designed around the extremely popular Folk Assembly Pants, and now includes a greater selection of styles, including chore jackets, sweatshirts and t-shirts - all of which are unisex. In the images featured with this article we’ve focussed on the Assembly Jacket in Woad Light Ripstop colourway, spotlighting the variety of useful pockets, cotton drawcords at the waist - (to create a customised fit), and the Corozo Nut Buttons in a contrasting colour to the fabric. With intricate details like these, it’s clear to see why this is a stand-out item, perfect for any season and any wardrobe choice.

The legendary Assembly Pants have also been showcased in the imagery. We have two styles available, firstly, the Drawcord Assembly Pants, which offer a cropped, tapered length, and provide a more relaxed wear thanks to the elasticated waistband and 100% soft-handle, lightly brushed cotton twill construction. Secondly the standard Assembly Pants that still ensure a comfortable fit, but feature a button fly, a more fitted leg, and are built using a thicker 100% ripstop organic cotton fabric. 

What’s caught our attention from this year’s Spring Summer collection is the vibrant shirts, with their abstract patterns and half moon collars. Just in time for summer bbqs, beach days, and walks through the park, the Gabe Shirt and Soft Collar Shirt are brilliant hero pieces to pair with shorts or even Assembly Pants.
