The Hemp Brand Story

At Urban Industry, we're committed to promoting sustainability, which is why we proudly stock products made from hemp. Hemp is an incredibly sustainable material with numerous environmental benefits. It's a low-impact crop, requiring minimal resources to grow compared to fabrics like cotton. 

One of the key advantages of hemp is that it's a carbon-negative crop – it absorbs more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than is released during its growth. Hemp also uses less than a third of the water needed for cotton and naturally resists pests, reducing the need for harmful pesticides and further minimising its environmental impact. 

Durable and breathable, hemp is a practical choice for long-lasting products. On top of that, hemp is biodegradable, meaning when its lifecycle ends it won't contribute to long-term waste.
