If you want a fully oversized look, sizing up by one delivers it cleanly. The core organic cotton T-shirts use a 180 grams per square metre jersey for substance without weight, and the heavier French terry hoodies sit closer to 320 grams per square metre.

Element trousers run true to your usual waist size but with a generously cut leg. The Big Pleated Chino sits high on the waist with two forward pleats and a voluminous straight leg that drops cleanly over a skate shoe or boot, drawing on '90s skate proportions. The ESP Easy Double Knee Pant uses a lighter weight poplin with reinforced knee panels for skate durability without the bulk of traditional double knee canvas. It depends on the model. The Element waterproof shell jackets, including the Alder 2.0 Travel Waterproof Shell, use a 10K rated Durable Water Repellent and lamination that delivers full waterproof protection in sustained rain and proper outdoor use. The lighter weight Alder Shell Jacket uses a 10K/5K DWR specification, which sheds wind and light rain rather than handling sustained downpours. Always follow the inner care label first. As a general guide, wash Element organic cotton T-shirts and hoodies inside out in cool water with a non bio liquid detergent, and avoid fabric softener as it dulls graphic prints and clogs technical fabrics. For ESP technical pieces and waterproof shells, never use fabric softener and tumble dry on a low heat setting to help reactivate the Durable Water Repellent. Hang dry cotton pieces to preserve the cut, and iron graphics on the reverse only.
