A.Kjaerbede (pronounced Kee-Yeah-Beed)

A.Kjaerbede is a true Nordic brand, hailing from the Danish island of Bornholm, which sits east of the mainland in the Baltic sea. Founded in 2016 by CEO Adam Geertsen, the idea was to bring an affordable luxury option to the sunglasses market.

As Geertsen himself puts it, A. Kjaerbede is about uniting good quality with thoughtful design, and offering this at a reasonable price point. “Kjaerbede” is a local term that means “man decision”, which Geertsen says was the process he went through upon starting the brand, because he had to be decisive when it came to design, as well as sourcing the right materials and manufacturers.
