Hiking through the hills of the South Downs from BN23 6QE, aka the Urban Industry base, to one particular location, The Long Man of Wilmington for the Columbia Spring Summer collaboration campaign. Seven miles across vast fields filled with blossoming flowers, on our way to see the folklore legend that stands proudly in the natural surroundings of East Sussex. The Long Man is a historical legend that draws viewers from all over the globe, we knew we had to feature the mystical landmark.
Lucking out with the weather, the warm Spring day gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase Columbia’s Spring Summer collection of graphic tees, cargo shorts, lightweight hoodies and utility vests.

Columbia is a trusted outdoor brand that offers dependable products that carry ontrend styles. Starting out as a small hat manufacturer, Columbia was founded in 1937 by the Lammfromms – a family of German-Jewish refugees who resettled in Portland Oregon. By 1970 Gert Boyle the family’s daughter became the President of the company and began future-proofing the brand, expanding the product categories to all outdoor essentials.
In the image above and matching the floral backdrop, the Columbia Explorers Canyon Back Graphic T-Shirt in two colourways not only provided a comfortable wear, but also has a striking back graphic alongside the Columbia logo. The other t-shirt which has been carefully selected, is the Columbia Break it Down T-Shirt.
This adventure wouldn’t have been successful without the functionality of Columbia’s short offering. In particular, we’ve highlighted two of our favourite styles from the season, the Maxtrail Lite Shorts and the Silver Ridge Utility Cargo Shorts. Both pairs have adjustable belts, an abundance of pockets, including a security zipped pocket, and are made from 100% recycled polyester that contains UPF 50 sun protection.
Another item we wanted to talk about is the Silver Ridge Utility Vest, a key piece from the collection, this vest is designed to carry all your outdoor accessories as well as doubling up as another protective layer from the suns rays. Easily layered over t-shirts, sweaters and fleeces, you can wear this item with long-sleeves or short.
Columbia is a celebrated brand at Urban Industry, we enjoy the different designs that support all outdoor activities, whilst being affordable and practical. We hope this is one of many collaborative campaigns, look out for our transitional and Autumn Winter stock, soon to arrive.
