Nike Flyknit technology arrived in 2014 and took sneaker design to another level. Flyknit replaced the usual stitched or glued panels with an ultra-light yarn to dramatically reduce weight and incorporate ultra high strength fibres to provide maximum support wherever needed. Flyknit enabled Nike's sneaker designers to go to town on new and exciting shapes and rewrite what we thought a technical running trainer should look like.
