The North Face Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook

January 20, 2015

We explore the great outdoors for our latest lookbook, highlighting the latest from outerwear giants The North Face that will be arriving with us shortly.

The lookbook takes a focus on the Venture jacket and the Mountain Jacket; which is currently celebrating its 30th year anniversary. The American outerwear brand has become synonymous with quality since it was founded back in 1968, supplying explorers and travelers with the clothing and equipment required to battle against the most brutal terrain and weather. More recent years have seen the brand causing a splash on the streetwear scene, with their considered designs and aesthetic working as well on the streets as they do on the mountains.

The Mountain Jacket has become a brand staple since it debuted back in 1985. Applying Gore-Tex fabrics, the weatherproof jacket was part of one of the first fully seam-taped outfits, along with its matching pants, and would go on to inspire many styles from the brand since then. The latest style is constructed from 100% polyester and is packed full of functional features including elasticated cuffs and hem, zipped pockets, printed logo and elbow seaming with articulation.

The Venture jacket offers up slightly more lightweight option. Constructed with a classic 2-layer Gore-Tex shell for protection against the elements, the jacket features a fixed hood with adjustment options on the peripherals, velcro tabs on the cuffs and a brushed knit chin guard to keep in the warmth. Fully waterproof and packed full of functional features, the jacket makes for the perfect style for battling the British weather.
