It’s always good to see UK brands pushing things forward for streetwear. For Autumn/Winter 2013 veteran brand Supremebeing has come correct with a particularly strong collection that showcases some bold prints as well as excellent custom cut & sew pieces. For more background on the new drop we now turn over to the guys at Supremebeing for the official word:
“AW13 launches with the same core values as always. Authenticity, a bold use of colour & graphics, considered design detail, build quality and good value. All have become the hallmarks of everything with a Supremebeing™ tag.
Our main inspiration for the season comes from 'The One Percenters': A term originally coined in 1947 by the American Motorcycle Association to describe a lawless breed of outlaw motorcyclists whose drunken & debauched behaviour had sullied the good name of fellow motorcyclists across America. This, One Percent, who lived outside what society deemed the norm, chose their own road & lived by their own rules. The term has now become a byword for those that set themselves apart; a byword for rebellion, free thinking & a F**K YOU attitude.
It’s an attitude we have an affinity for; we do things a little differently, follow our own path. This season we’ve designed the range with this attitude in mind, taking influence from far & wide. From the 1960’s workwear & military eclectica to 1980’s print graphics & street casual; we’ve blended garment styles, colour, pattern & print to create this seasons equally eclectic offering”.
