The PUMA Clyde returns to our ranks this season in two simplistic, OG colour ways of Bright Gold and Barbados Cherry.
The Clyde was originally introduced to the world back in 1973 as a performance basketball shoe, endorsed by the likes of Walt Frazer of the New York Knicks, propelling the shoe in to the spotlight and becoming a favourite amongst fans and sneaker lovers alike. The shoes low profile, flat sole and durable upper saw it adopted by skaters and b-boy’s for it’s performance features. The style later became synonymous with the 90’s hip-hop scene in the States, reinforcing its place in the sneaker hall of fame.
This season the Clyde returns with its classic buttery suede make-up on the upper, which continues on to the Form Stripe and tongue, all of which sits on top of a stark white sole unit. The shoe is broken up with contrasting colour treatments on the Puma branding and lacing, and finished with subtle gold leaf lettering on the side panels.
