One of Nike’s slightly more unorthodox designs but a game changer in its own right, the Air Rift returns this season in a series of vibrant summer ready colour ways. Drawing inspiration from a range of themes including the traditional Japanese ‘tabi’ socks and the barefoot running style of the Kenyan long distance runners, as well as the nations Great Rift Valley fault line from which the shoe derives its name, the Air Rift offers a completely unique and distinct running experience for the wearer with functionality, foot protection and breathability all considered in its design.
The latest iteration of the Air Rift, which was originally released back in 1996, sees the shoe arrive in two colour options. the first an all over black on the upper with hints of mint green and also an all over crystal mint upper with bright orange detailing. Each style sits on top of a white air midsole and black rubber outsole with the iconic split toe and velcro strap fastening system across the mid-foot and heel. The upper has been constructed from a textile-Engineered Mesh to allow for ventilation and features natural motion technology in the outsole for optimal movement and flexibility with added traction features to avoid slippage.
The Air Rift seamlessly combines the benefits of wearing a sneaker and a sandal, and from this comes a perfect casual trainer for the arriving warmer months. The Nike Air Rift in both colour ways will be arriving with us shortly, be sure to follow our social media pages for regular updates. You can shop our current Nike selection HERE.
