Before the Huarache hype, there was Air Max 1 hype. Before all that there was Blazer bedlam. That’s basically the last 3-4 years of Nike bestsellers condensed. There was a time when we couldn’t keep black/white Nike Blazers in stock long enough to satisfy demand. Since it first debuted in 1972, the Nike Blazer has remained a timeless classic. Having not seen it on these shores for some time now, this weekend sees the return of this great shoe in the form of the Nike Blazer Floral collection.
The official word from Nike is as follows: “As the saying goes: April showers bring May flowers. This expression informs the latest Blazer Floral Collection, with three designs, each depicting an all-over floral print with particular city ties. The first pair draws inspiration from Los Angeles with an explosive birds-of-paradise print, a not-so-subtle nod to the sunny weather that fosters the beautiful plant’s growth. Additionally, the Chicago-inspired pair features chrysanthemums, the official flower of the Windy City. To complete the coast-to-coast travel, the New York City-inspired pair employs an all-over dandelion print, a symbolic reference to wishful thinking and the quick pace of the Big Apple’s city-streets”.
The Nike Blazer Floral Collection releases online at www.urbanindustry.co.uk on Saturday May 31st 2014 at 08:00 BST. As this is a limited edition Quickstrike release, stock will be limited and we will be restricting purchases to one pair per colour per customer.
