This week is a big one for the Air Max 1. It’s been a while since we’ve had any new colourways in here at Urban Industry but that’s about to change. Hopefully you are aware of the AM1 “Mercurial Pack” which is set for launch this Saturday, if not, you can read about that here.
Looking at it retrospectively, the long hiatus may have been timed perfectly by Nike and broken by the “Air Max 1 Day” model which celebrated the 27 years of the classic silhouette. This iteration sold out in a matter of minutes and bump-started the Air Max 1 scene. Hoping to continue this success and the increased attention around the Air Max 1 is the “Suede Pack”.
A little more understated than the aforementioned model with a vintage styled beige sole and a monotone suede/mesh upper, the suede pack shoes are certainly not statement shoes. The pack is designed to go with every day wear and to look smart no matter the occasion. A safe way to enter the 28th year of Air Max.
The pack consists of a trio of colours; Black, Pro Green and Gym Red. Nothing is a part of these shoes that shouldn’t be. As I mentioned before the upper consists of premium suede and features mesh underlays of the same colour. The swoosh cuts a thin white break into the solid block of colour and the whole thing sits atop a vintage white Air sole. It’s got the thumbs up from us but look out as they aren’t likely to stick around long.
The Suede Pack is available at Urban Industry online and in store priced at £94.95 per pair.
