It looks like Nike want to start 2013 with an impact and they've achieved this with the first big delivery of Spring footwear.
Bringing old and new together with the two biggest hitting shoes from the back catalogue, the Nike Air Max 1 and the Air Max 90. Not only is the Air Max 1 back in its Original release colour way, they've also dropped the infamous Air Max 90 in the colour to end all colour mixes, the Infrared.
Ok these OG releases have been given the Nike Vintage make over but in the case of the Air Max 1 you'd be hard pressed to notice any major yellowing or fraying of edges that sometimes accompanies Vintage Nike Blazers for instance. Even with the Air Max 90 Infrared there is only slight side wall yellowing which should hopefully keep the purists mildly 'happy', hey, its an Infrared, you're still going to buy it and you know it.
What i love about Nike is as well as bringing something from the archives they also push on to the future and in this case they've matched up both Air Max's with new fabrications. Enter the Engineered Mesh versions of EM for short. This mesh fabric makes for a sleeker, cleaner profile while still maintain the classic DNA of both Max shoes. The result is a nice move on again, something Nike are very clever at doing.
