New Balance pay homage to English heritage and one of our nations most treasured sports – Cricket, in the “Test Match” pack for Spring 2015.
Made in New Balance’s UK based Flimby factory, the 577 silhouette is the focus of the brands latest release, drawing themes from different aspects of the sport and its surroundings to inspire the colour and material applications. Both pairs are constructed from a rich suede on the upper, with the green colour way (M577TGY) inspired by the playing field and the blue (M577TBO) referencing the colour of the stands. Hits of yellow and orange feature respectively, with each pair sitting on top of an off-white ENCAP midsole and black outsole, complimented by the matching laces. The look is completed with the application of a full-grain burgundy leather, drawing inspiration from the cricket ball itself, applied to the leather heel tab and the ‘N’ branding, highlighted with the classic white stitching.
