For 2014 we’re looking to continually expand our footwear offering at Urban Industry. One particular trend we’ve noticed amongst our customers is the increasing popularity of heritage sportswear. Sure we’ll still sell Roshe Runs by the truckload and Flyknits by the tonne, but 2013 saw the emergence of brands such as Saucony, New Balance and Asics as the chief purveyors of this new old trend. For 2014 we look forward to bolstering our roster with the addition of Le Coq Sportif. The brand was founded in 1882 in France and its pedigree is undeniable. We’ve been especially excited by the recent work the brand has been doing in the UK (check this article from The Daily Street in conversation with Marc Chamberlain and his role in revitalising the brand HERE), and feel it is the right time to introduce it to our store.
There are going to be some great silhouettes on offer at Urban Industry when Le Coq Sportif lands later this month. First debuted late last year, the LCSR1000 is back again for SS14 with an interesting mix of colours inspired by old school outfits from “mountain sports” and “surfwear”. Le Coq Sportif had the exotic colours and graphics that those people searched for back in the 90s. These sort of people still exist and can now stop searching with the debut of the FLASH FRESH. Voila; a Flash with intensely bold colours and graphics, drawing inspiration directly from extravagant nineties apparel; sporting rain camo and psychedelic colours. Keep up to date on our FACEBOOK and TWITTER accounts for when Le Coq Sportif drops!
