Following our recent buying trip to New York, the Urban Industry team headed to an event a bit closer to home as we spent the day in London for Jacket Required.
With Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery full to the brim with brands from across the globe, it was great to see some familiar faces and learn a bit more about what we can be expecting from our brands moving into Autumn/Winter 2015.
Highlights from the show include strong outerwear pieces from the likes of Dickies and Brixton, with the latter introducing more technical fabrications and functional features to their range. The Hundreds has put together possibly one of their most mature collections to date, with a heavy focus on cut and sew and less graphic prints, quality and finish is the main priority.
Some serious heat on display in the footwear department with Le Coq Sportif’s stripped back LCSR9000, which takes away the overlays for a clean, simplistic look. HUF’s footwear line has really impressed over the last few years and it seems to get better and better with yet another great collection. A highlight was getting a sneak peek of the Austyn shown below.
It was great to catch up with the guys from Deus Ex Machina who talked us through the brands many inspirations. Much more of a lifestyle than a clothing brand, Deus have some big things lined up in the UK for 2015.
Overall it’s very exciting times ahead, from current brands to ones soon to be arriving with us, all offer up something different. Check out our photo recap below featuring sneak peeks from the AW15 collections, characters at the show and some of our favourite styles spots from the day.
