Seattle based streetwear imprint Maiden Noir started out life as a creative project based around a mythical story line, with each collection designed to continue telling the story through its graphic pieces and considered apparel designs. The brand has gained global recognition for its unique military aesthetic and its commitment to high levels of detailing throughout its releases. The brand has linked up with the likes of Stussy Deluxe, Timberland and New Era, amongst others, to work on some high profile collaborative pieces.
Founded back in 2005, the brands founder Nin Truong already holds several creative projects under the WKND label, with cafes, clothing, architecture and graphic design, to name but a few of the labels ventures. It’s a brand that, despite staying true to its aesthetic, continues to move forward and look for new opportunities to develop. One opportunity that did arise from Maiden Noir is their new sub label – MN07, which has already received a great response in Asia and America. The sub brand takes a contemporary twist on streetwear designs and despite following similar themes to that of Maiden Noir, it’s still very much its own identity. The latest collection for Spring 2015 offers up relaxed fits in street ready pieces that utilise dark, vintage inspired graphic prints and embroidered patches. The collection sticks to a strict colour palette of black, grey and white, with pops of red and olive.
