It might seem saccharine on our part, but we genuinely do love when a UK brand comes good. Whether it’s the steady progression from printed blanks to producing their own custom cut & sew, or getting widespread attention on the main streetwear blogs, we can’t help but feel proud of these young independent brands who can stand shoulder to shoulder with any of the main heavy-hitter brands out there.
Shot by Mehdi Lacoste on the streets of Notting Hill, the Jah Bless collection lookbook is a celebration of Jamaican culture in London. I’ve said before how Grind is the quintessential London brand right now, and this lookbook that encapsulates local characters and the Modfather himself further strengthens that position. I really do like what they’ve done here. As a non-Brit, I like how the lookbook celebrates its place and diverse culture without waving a flag in your face or recycling tired old clichés. That and the collection itself is one of the strongest releases we’ve seen so far this year. You can check out the full lookbook over with our friends at BREAKS MAG .
