With the colder weather already setting in this week at Urban Industry, the Grand Scheme Fall 2013 collection has arrived with immaculate timing. The Australian brand has delivered their strongest collection yet in my eyes. While we first got a taste for their custom prints and tailored look in the Summer 2013 drop, the new collection sees this promising approach fully realised across a range of tees, shirts, fleece and outerwear. As always we have a strong selection of 5-panels as well as a couple of different socks thrown in for good measure.
The southern hemisphere isn’t somewhere we’ve previously looked to for inspiration in the past. Sure, you’ve got i love ugly over in New Zealand, but other than that there hasn’t been many brands that have piqued our interest. Traditionally this was down to fact their summer is our winter and vice versa. You see, Australia is Opposite Land – hot snow falls up, robbers chase cops etc. Nah, not really but it is good to see brands like Grand Scheme leading the way for a whole host of new Australian brands on the up. I think they’ve nailed it with this season’s collection that is as appropriate for the grim British weather as much as any of the other brands we stock that hail from colder climates.
Personal favourites from this collection for me have to be the Hotham jacket in camo/black and the Reversible Puffer Vest in Camo/black. Both are solid, warm and (most importantly) feature a custom camo print. That’ll do me just fine. Check out the full Grand Scheme Fall 2013 collection below. Don’t forget we also offer free UK shipping and returns on all orders placed at Urban Industry!
