On a personal level my first recollections of Craghoppers as a brand were back in about 1986 when it became my first 'proper' outdoor jacket. Oversized, big patch pockets for maps and stuff, huge hood and all water proof with some level of fabric like Sympatex or similar i can't remember now. I loved that jacket and I wore it on family holidays in the Lake District, North Wales and probably up Ben Nevis. Amazingly now, some 30+ years later we're stocking this new capsule range from the brand, its come full circle for me.
Craghoppers Archive is the brand connecting with a new group of customers, who, in this time of 100% Connectivity, 24-7 are looking for more and more outdoor experiences plus products that will last and survive these journeys. Craghoppers, as the name suggests, have gone into their substantial archive of authentic outdoor clothing and selected items like the Ashfield half Zip Fleece jacket, and the Wilton and Batley Water resistant jackets and give them that 1980's and 90's colour panelling look and feel.
We've taken the range out on to the South Downs National Park a few miles from our front door to put the collection through its paces.
