Danish brand Rains was established to provide the modern consumer with a style focused solution to functional outerwear. They are probably best known for their interpretation of the traditional raincoat, but the brand have expanded their line over the years, introducing several new styles including bags and accessories, with each piece sticking to the brands principles of practicality and style. Each item is versatile and lightweight, arriving in subtle colour palettes that compliment most outfits.
We take a look at some of the key styles available at Urban Industry now;
Simply named ‘Jacket’, this traditional raincoat shape is the brands staple item, made from a 50-50 mix on Polyurethane and Polyester it is completely waterproof. It arrives in a regular fit and features a button fastening system on the front, adjustable hood with cap detail and hidden pockets for a minimal look. The Jacket also has air ventilation holes located under the arm and back shield for breathability.
The ‘Long Jacket’ is fairly similar in design to its shorter compatriot, and is again a contemporary rework of a classic rain jacket. The length gives it a slightly smarter look, but its construction is almost identical to the regular length jacket. All inside seams have been welded for an airtight finish, ensuring no un-wanted water will be getting through.
The ‘Breaker’ jacket offers up more of a sportswear inspired shape with additional functional features to allow for an easy, flexible style when exploring the outdoors. Many of the traditional Rains features remain such as the adjustable hood with cap function, ventilation under arms and back shield, as well as a matt finish for a premium look. The Breaker jacket differentiates with its waterproof zipper closing on the front and the adjustable waist toggles.
