San Francisco streetwear brand Black Scale descend on Urban Industry with their Summer 2014 collection. Mega’s brand continue with the dark vibes and strong graphic output for this season. Switching things up from the monochromatic approach of the previous seasons, SS14 sees the brand inject some colour into proceedings. That’s not to say they’ve lost any of that dark edges that typifies many of their designs. Case and point is the Apocalypse Tank Top Vest, which despite featuring mainly blues and yellows, still comes across as suitable artwork for Slayer’s next album.
Elsewhere we have some interesting panelling and cut & sew work evident in the brand’s t-shirt output for the season. Both the Ban Religion and Fain tees exemplify Black Scale’s willingness to push things forward and not just slap a lazy logo on a blank tee. This is the first drop from Black Scale Summer 2014 here at Urban Industry. Expect more tees, caps and cut & sew to make an appearance over the coming weeks and months.
