Billionaire Boys Club (BBC to give it its less tongue-twisting title) is one of the quietly dependable brands here at Urban Industry. Every season we get a small collection of tees, crews and hoodies as well as a smattering of cut & sew. Without much fanfare it always sells. This could be that BBC goes beyond being a simple brand seeing as many people are familiar with the brand through co-founder Pharrell Williams. Pharrell got together with A Bathing Ape brand owner Nigo in 2005 to create Billionaire Boys Club. The other secret to BBC’s success is their bold use of colour and simple effective graphic print. The Astronaut and Helmet prints are classics in their own right, and the Billionaire Boys Club Classic Arch logo just looks good on anything you put it on.
For Fall 2013 we’ve gotten a hold of new colour options in these timeless prints as well as smart new iterations in the form of the Digitalnaut and Tractor tees. Nothing revolutionary done here, just simple prints executed perfectly on high quality garments. If every other brand could follow these guiding principles then the world of streetwear would be a better place for sure.
