Coming this spring from Asics is the "Primary Colours" pack. This pack brings the tones from the subtractive colour model CMYK, which is used in colour printing, onto the brand's most popular core silhouettes. There are four shoes in the pack, one to represent each tone, and they are as follows;
C – ‘Cyan’ is the Gel-Lyte III
M – ‘Magenta’ is the GT-II
Y – ‘Yellow’ is the Gel Lyte III
K – ‘Key’ or black is the Gel-Saga
The “Primary Colours” pack is inspired by the art of printing and the “dpi” (dots per inch) spatial print technique. The colour inspiration is derived from the base colour palette of Red, Blue, Yellow & Black. You can find the dpi inspiration in the detailing of the collar and sock liners throughout the pack, additional colour details can be found in the lacing system and ASICS branding details.
All the shoes featured in the pack are constructed with premium suede uppers with mesh underlays. The vamps are seated on top of a contrasting white midsole which carries small brand logo touches. They are lined with a dot print of the same tone on white as the shoe itself.
This pack has begun to filter in to stock here at Urban Industry and we’ve already received The Gel-Saga. The remaining styles are due in the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye out on our social network feeds for updates.
