Asics rework the newly introduced Gel-Kayano EVO this month for the aptly named ‘Monochrome Pack’.
The Kayano Evo was introduced to the world earlier this season as Asics looked to develop their line and bring some of their classic models in to modern day with contemporary, conceptual upgrades. The original Kayano model first emerged 22 years ago as a long distance running shoe, holding some of the most revolutionary design technology of its time. The updated Evo sees the shoes original design deconstructed by removing unnecessary bulk and layering on the upper to produce a streamlined, lightweight silhouette. The shoe has been made from an advanced exterior material – resulting in a clean aesthetic with increased breathability and durability. Despite the changes to the shoes exterior, much of its technology remains, with the Alpha Gel sole for superior cushioning, sock liner for stability and external heel counter for support, all still in-tact.
The Gel-Kayano EVO undergoes a clean monochromatic rework for their latest pack release. The shoes lightweight mesh upper, neoprene sock liner, rubber heel support and gel sole unit, all arrive in tonal white and black colour options. Additional features including flat tonal lacing and embroidered Asics branding to the tongue.
