On Saturday 9th August House Of Vans, London opened its doors to the general public, 34,000 square feet of Art, Films, Music and Skate under the arches of Waterloo Station.
The AONO Family were asked to join the rest of the VANS family and activate the AONO Pop Up Barbershop giving our usual grooming sessions for as many punters as we could get into the seats. We ran the usual 2 chairs tagging in my usual partner in crime Brad Cowen ( @hbad ) making the trip up from his native Bristol.
We just weren’t prepared for the the queues which we were huge! Fully booked within 20 minutes, the activation didn’t stop until 10pm way after everyone had packed up.
It was amazing to see long time hero Tony Alva in the flesh along with Christian Hosoi we even managed to rope in original Vans brand owner Steve Van Doren to help out on the Barbershop…..
The House of Vans is incredible, the venue is huge and just flows from the Art Gallery all the way through to the Bowl and street section, we’ll be back…
The AONO relationship keeps getting stronger with VANS as our next activation is on the 11th September within the Carnaby street store for the GQ Style week come and join us.
