The first collaborative range from Canadian retailer turned menswear brand Ransom Holding Company and one of the world’s biggest footwear brands, Adidas, first appeared in previews back at the beginning of 2009. Ransom worked on completely new models, rather than with existing Adidas Originals silhouettes, resulting in some really special footwear.
The Ransom by Adidas Originals collection moves away from traditional Adidas Originals runners to more mountaineering inspired footwear, with Ransom taking inspiration from the Canadian outdoors. Ransom and Adidas return with their second footwear collection, which sees the return of The Valley, The Dune, The Creek and more, in a host of new colourways and materials for spring/summer.
The Dune and The Creek continue mountaineering inspired trend whilst The Valley presents a more traditional high-top sneaker model using the same premium materials. In addition, The Curb, The Pier, The Bluff and The Valley Low cover the lower end of the spectrum. The use of materials is what really makes the Ransom by Adidas Originals collection something to shout about. Sun washed ripstop nylon, heavyweight hemp and premium leather all feature prominently and make a big impact to the look and feel of each shoe.
Check out all of the Ransom by Adidas Originals models below and keep a close eye on the collaboration. Previews of the Autumn/Winter range are already surfacing and it looks like things are set to get better and better throughout 2010. |

We're very pleased to announce that Urban Industry Store is now an official Nike Quick Strike Account here in the UK. For those unfamiliar with the Nike product Tiering system, Nike Quick Strike is pretty much the pinnacle of distribution for independent stores meaning that the shoes on offer here are particulary scarce worldwide. Going forward we'll have a number of Quickstrike releases through out the year, each one a special make up, new colour way or collaboration with a different artist, all will be super limited and hard to find.
We start our Nike Quick Strike account with this great collection of World Cup Inspired designs, the first set featuring Nunca from Brazil and the UK's very own James Jarvis well known for this Amos brand and King Ken Toys. Above is the excellent Nunca X Nike Quickstrike Dunk Hi, a simple, almost SB inspired, version of the classic basketball boot. Nunca's work is heavily inspired by Incan symbolism and a primitive style of graffiti called Pixação.... From this he has added his unique handstyle graphics to a range of new Quickstrike True Colours series shoes which tie in with the forthcoming World Cup.
This is the Nike Quickstrike Air Footscape Motion England edition featuring a super lightweight and technical mesh, flywire uppers and the Nike Freesole tech. James Jarvis adds his signature style to the tounge and insole artwork.
The Nike Quickstrike Lunar Chukka Woven+ is another collab with Brazil's Nunca, he uses the premium leather woven uppers and the green Lunarlite luna foam sole unit to great affect.
Nike Quickstrike Air Zoom Tiempo England meets with James Jarvis again on a proper indoor football shoe with its leather 'quilted' stitch panelling uppers and fold down tongue. Fully leather lined with James Jarvis artwork on thr tongue and insole
At first glance, his interpretation of the England crest stays true to the national archetype, but up close the designs are all Jarvis: his heraldic lion flashing a trademark googly-eyed grin. Jarvis drew from medieval woodblock prints for inspiration for this Nike Quickstrike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+ England.
This is a great looking shoe in collaboration with Nunca for his Brazillian inspired world cup pack. The Nike Quickstrike Air Bw Gen II Brazil uses Technical mesh & grid uppers with textile overlays, Air max & free sole technology.. Super Lightweight on point..
Not part of the World Cup pack above but still inside the super limited Quick Strike Program, the Nike All Court Premium shoe was a design made inconjection with premium menswear label, APC. Nike have put this simple and clean summer shoe into Quick strike in this great canvas make up.
Benny Gold: Stay Gold from hypebeast.tv
Hypebeast deliver a nice video introduction to the graphic artist Benny Gold. If you're not aware of his work that you may well have seen one of this collabs with some of the major brands over the years. We'll be stocking Benny Gold's brand at Urban Industry from the early Summer this year, plus we already have the Carhartt collab t-shirt in stock at the moment. Super strong, clean Graphic design through and through.
Stussy X J Dilla T-Shirt - To celebrate the life of the amazing hip hop producer and rapper James “J Dilla” Yancey, Stussy is releasing a limited edition tee shirt produced in conjunction with Stones Throw and the Dilla Estate. Launching on the 13/02/10 in the US we are expecting the t-shirts to reach the UK in approximately 4 weeks time. Strictly limited we have both white and black versions on order...Stay Tuned..With the amount of interest we've already had in this celebration t-shirt they won't hang around for long.

We were up at the HUF distributors two weeks ago on our long buying session in London and went through the first range HUF shoes. The order is in and i think we're looking at a early Summer delivery on them if i remember right. Our first HUF Spring collection should be arriving in March...expect some very choice pieces in there, the HUF quality is amazing through t-shirts to the jackets.

So here's a look at some of our new
Adidas Originals product for Spring 2010. We've started off by showing you a few basic colourways of the
Adidas Originals Adi Trefoil T-Shirt,
Adidas Originals Firebird Track Top and the
Adidas Originals Hooded Flock Track Top. Great spring/summer vibrant, bold colours to kick the season off.
First up is the classic
Adidas Originals Trefoil T-Shirt in new spring colourways. 100% Cotton material with cool Trefoil screen print on the front.
Secondly the classic, retro
Adidas Originals Firebird Track Top. Full zip design, white contrasting 3 stripes, embroidered Adidas Trefoil logo on the chest and zipped hand pockets.
Last but not least is the
Adidas Originals Hooded Flock Track Top : Polyester-cotton mix fabric, full zip Hoody with flocking Adidas trefoil logo on the chest. This product was originally released in the 1970's.
