Rockoff was known to take tremendous risks to get his pictures at a time when any foreign journalist falling into Khmer Rouge hands could expect execution. In October 1974, he was badly wounded by shrapnel in an attack near the strategic city of Kompong Chnang, and technically ‘died’ for several minutes before his heart was revived by a Swedish Red Cross team.

This is the limited drop of Puma Suedes, split up into three separate drop dates this year. The first pack arrived with us on August 20th 2009 and consists of three solid colourways, including the Puma Suede - Ensign Blue-Orange, the Puma Suede - Ensign Blue - White and the Puma Suede - Ribbon Red-Ensign Blue.
Puma are reissuing 9 original colours of the suede this summer. What is different from previous suede releases is that Puma have used the 1978 tooling to produce a very accurate and credible shape with great attention to detail from the shape of the form stripe to the original sock liner print and so on.

The Urban Industry Special Works Plaid Shirts are now here! Take a closer look...
The Urban Industry Special Works shirt is our very first foray into actual cut and sow, custom items. We've taken what we think to be the very best design cues from shirting and put them into our own Urban Industry block, our own personal ultimate shirt shape and design...The shirt cut is now set, these two colourways are strictly limited to 62 Red and 66 Black, thats it. All the shirts are hand numbered in the neck label, we will not be producing any more of these colours. The idea is to produce more shirts in the future, these will be numbered 2,3,4 as we go, they could be in flannel, chambray or flat cotton, but they will be all different and if you like the fit of the shirt you will know that the later releases will fit you well.
Each Shirt features Soft brushed flannel cotton, regular fit, not fitted or baggy. Double button cuffs, popper stash pocket, 2 button down chest pockets, same fabric elbow patches. A small woven Urban Industry Special Works Label at the bottom, plus each one is hand numbered on the neck label.

This is a sneak peak at the forthcoming Urban Industry Special Works Plaid Shirt line...
Over the years we have been fortunate enough to see seasons and seasons of some of the best streetwear brands from around the world coming through the store. Having a good understanding of the cut, quality and detail that comes as a part of these brands is essential in aiding us to now release our own line of higher end products.
Attention to detail is to be found in the small details...the tags, stash pockets, double button cuffs. What's more, the shirts are limited to 62 in the Red/Cyan colourway (not shown) and 67 in the Black/Yellow colourway (above), all individually hand numbered in the neck tag. We're keeping the designs tight and exclusive.

Due in 20th August, the first pack of the re-issued Puma Suede Shoes...
Puma are reissuing 9 original colours of the suede this summer. Ozzie's been touring with his band The Goons of Doom and fulfilling his obligations as a pro surfer as well. His main sponsor, Volcom Clothing, has used him in countless ads, and is The Goons of Doom's current label. Ozzie Wright has also taken part in numerous collaboration pieces and clothing (like the one's shown below) with Volcom CLothing, all featuring his very unique art style.
His surfing is fast, raw and very aerial oriented. He has a wide stance and an even wider array of tricks, hence the name of his video "One Hundred and Fifty Six Tricks." A good way to sum up Ozzie Wright is from an old Volcom add that says, "Ozzie Wrong Does Not Belong."

This is the first in the new Urban Industry Staff Selects feature. Tom picks out his favorite UI threads...
So this a new feature that we we'll be starting to put up. Every week we will choose one member of the Urban Industry team to pick out and put together a collection of their favorite streetwear items around at Urban Industry.
This time it was the turn of Tom, who's selected the classic Vans Loose Screw Flannel Shirt which features a thick inner lining which also includes a hood plus the Stussy X REAS Hat Guy T-Shirt which will sit underneath. He's teamed this with a pair of black Levi's 511 Slim Denim Jeans, along with the brand new Vans Chukka LX Peacoat Shoe and finished things off with the Brixton Heist Beanie in olive.

Caught sight of this on one of the US Hype blogs recently. A rather nice Brookyn Machine Works fixed gear bike in collaboration with Element and Pharell Williams of the Neputure/N.E.R.D. Obviously a top notch bike from Brooklyn Machine Works as usual..loving this colourway and the fact it looks super beefy.

Adidas Originals get ready to launch excellent Five-Two 3 pack on the 20th August 2009.
Not long before the launch of the new Adidas Originals Five-Two 3 collaboration pack and its looking strong. The first pack is due to go one sale on August 20th 2009 and takes 5 iconic Adidas shoes and hands them over to 5 premier clothing brands from completely different realms. Premium UK Street wear brand, Maharishi takes on the Adidas Stan Smith and drops a very clean edition. Mens wear brand, Stone Island get the classic Adidas Samba and gives it a very modern make over with premium fabrics and the asymmetric zip design.
Super high level, Japanese bag brand, Porter get the Adidas Nizza Hi and again give it a more subtle redesign with a zip detail on the back. New York Street wear brand, XLARGE get one of the most iconic shoe from Adidas Originals, the Superstar and give this multicoloured snakeskin effect. And finally, the New York based design house, Nom De Guerre get the Adidas Forum Mid to play with and what a great job they've all done.
