Le Coq Sportif Vintage Cycle Jerseys

Big shouts out to Marc over at Le Coq Sportif and Tea and Cake PR for sorting me out with tow vintage cycle tops from the brands heritage range! Marc spotted our ONLY Cycle Jersery Collab a few weeks ago and being a avid roadie these days I bite his hand off for the offer of a couple of tops.
The two jerseys are proper old school made from a knitted cotton fabric and including button up back pockets. They're going to be a little too warm for this Summers riding but i'm sure they'll work very well on an Autumn ride. Its interest to see Le Coq Sportif making cycles jerseys again and as it turns out they are the official supplier of sports clothing to this years Tour de France. Nike have being suppling the tops in recent tours but this return by LCF sees them recapture a heritage of producing tops for forty years to some of the most famous riders, from Jacques Anquetil to Bernard Hinault and Eddy Merckx.

It's all about the Mids and Lows as Nike drops the Premium Blazer Pack on us
More Nike goodness today at Urban Industry with the release of the Nike Blazer Low Premium and Nike Blazer Mid Premium. With some neat colour ways and all wrapped up in premium suede, this is definitely one of the best Nike drops for Fall 11. Nice vintage detailing on the midsoles too! The Lows retail at £59.99 and the Mids will set you back £64.95. Again, quantities are limited on this drop and are flying off the shelves fast!

Fresh new Nike Air Max 1 drops at Urban Industry
It's all go here on the sneaker front at Urban Industry HQ as we unleash these new Nike Air Max 1s in Team Red and Obsidian! These AM1s are retailing at £86.95 but are flying out so fast we can barely keep count! Our advice is don't sleep on 'em! We're still waiting to take delivery of the Black colourway but they are available for preview here. As soon as they drop, we'll let you know!
New KR3W 2011 Fall Lookbook Video

KR3W have just recently released their latest lookbook for their fall collection in a video format.
Over the past few seasons KR3W have been supplying a consistent quality of KR3W footwear, KR3W denim and cut-and-sew products which has allowed them to make a reputable name for themselves. They have presented this video lookbook in an artsy manor meaning the clothes aren't exactly showcased as much as other lookbooks in the the past, but it does however give you and idea of the lifestyle associated with the brand.

For those that don't know Grizzle is one of the founding members of UK street wear/lifestyle blogs, The Daily Street. With this new video he's returning to his music roots where previously he's gigged across the Europe and supported the Maccabees.
We say good luck to Grizzle, he's one of the most genuine and nicest guys in the UK street wear industry as we found out when we had all The Daily Street team down to our store last year for a photo shoot.

Art In The Streets Book by Rizzoli

The first large-scale American museum exhibition to survey the colorful history of graffiti and street art movements internationally.
Art In The Streets is a Paperback 320 page book that highlights the connection between graffiti and street art and other vibrant subcultures, such as those that developed around Hip Hop in the Bronx and skateboarding in Southern California, Art In The Streets explores parallel movements in dance and music.
The exhibition is curated by MoCA Director Jeffrey Deitch, working with a curatorial advisory committee that includes Roger Gastman and Aaron Rose.

Edwin Sneak Peek Factory Video

While browsing the internet, we stumbled across this very interesting video. The Japanese clothing brand Edwin are showing a sneak peek video showing their complicated and very high-quality denim making process. In the video, Edwin, which is an anagram of Denim, if you didn't know, shows each process from cutting the denim and stitching pockets to how the wash and fade is applied. We feel that it is a good idea to show our customers exactly what goes into making these premium denim jeans. The best example of this is the Edwin Ed39 Denim Jeans with Blue Oiler Wash, where you can see just how much work has been put into making a premium quality pair of jeans.

Stussy UK Presents “Beat Down in London Town”

The U.K. Stussy Tribe recently got together on a giant wall piece featuring the biggest Stussy logo ever and artwork from the Stussy x Fergadelic Nuclear Surf Tee. This video/photo shoot chronicles the project as they stop in at Chrome & Black London for some supplies and then head to the perfect brick canvas in downtown London. Rolling like royalty 30 years strong!!!

HUF Summer Drops for 2011

Yesterday we received a parcel from HUF that we were all very excited about. Upon opening, we discovered these great new caps and tees.
As you can see here some great looking prints, printed on the usual premium quality HUF clothing. There's a good selection of both snap backs and and snap back 5 panel caps. Coming all the way from San Francisco, the drop brings with it a selection of new print designs as well as some classic logo prints. The highlights of this delivery have to be the HUF Union Patch T-Shirt and the HUF Big H Caps.

Here at Urban Industry we're constantly striving to provide the best service for our customers in any way we can. With this in mind we've introduced 2 very easy ways to take the hassle of returning something to us. (Presently UK Only) We're also subsidising the cost of making this return! We've had a lot customer feedback regarding returns and one thing that keeps popping up is doing free or cheaper returns. As an independent store we don't have the resources to offer totally free returns as yet, so we hope to offer the next best thing with a subsidised rate of just £2.99 to send something back to us, we'll try to meet you somewhere in the middle! On top of this we hope to speed up the returns process with a prepaid Royal Mail sticker on all our invoices or if you prefer you can use our new Collect + service where you can drop your parcel off at a local store at a time convenient to you, So you don't even have to queue up at a Post Office anymore which is a major plus! As the the Fall/Winter season apporaches, yes you heard right, we're in June and yet Fall products are just around the corner, we thought we'd preview some of the new Nike Sportswear trainers that we have on their way to us through June, July & August 2011. Highlights are the new Hyperfuse technology shoes which we have in the form of the Air Force 1, Air Max 1 and Dunk Hi. Classic Nike trainers made from a strips of material melded together by extreme heat and pressure to make a super lightweight, durable sneaker, Nike once again are pushing things forward. Jansport have raided their incredible archive of mountain and outdoor backpacks recently to bring us this original, premium Ski and Hike Backpack. Made with original weathered nylon fabric with Original Brass Zips and buckles, which were made in one of only two factorys in the U.K. that still make these brass zips and buckles.
Jansport have come back with 5 vibrant colours, to include "Verdant Green", "Blinded Blue", "Orange Ember", "Storm Grey", and "High Risk Red".
Our staff Dan and Sam took the backpacks out for a bit to see what they were like.
Here you can see some detail shots of the heritage Jansport logo and original brass zip.
We guess it's up to you now to decide which colour you prefer.
ONLY NY X Urban Industry Team Cycle Jersey

I've always ridden one form of bike whether it be an MTB or BMX, in fact I could probably put cycling down as a direct contribution for me opening a store in the first place, but that’s another long story for another day.
Over the last few years a few of us here at Urban Industry been getting more involved in cycling again mainly as a means to get fit. We bought some racing bikes and hit the roads. Every Sunday we look to do 30 miles or so, more of a social ride than a fast sportive, usually finishing in a pub beer garden. We rode in the Sunday jaunt that is the 54 miles of the Classic London to Brighton ride last year and plan to do it again this year, something to aim for and hey, its all for charity!
Because of this passion for cycling of any kind and the fact its become a major past time for me, I really wanted to produce our own, fully fledged cycle jersey and being a store with 80+ brands we decide this was a collaboration too good to miss out on.
ONLY NY was my first choice. We've been selling ONLY for almost 2 years now and the brand has gone from strength to strength. With our store based in the South East of England and with ONLY NY in the West side of Manhattan we thought it would provide the best point of difference of riding styles and backdrops. With this lookbook we contrast the leafy lanes of Sussex with the streets of New York, the geared road bike style approach to the casual shorts and fixies.
The ONLY NY X Urban Industry Team Cycle Jersey is hand made in the UK in very limited amounts. Its a fully fledged race top, made from Bioactive Polyester fabric which is lightweight and odour resistant. We include a half zip at the neck and 3 stow pockets on the back for inner tubes, bananas, energy bars whatever you need..

Nike Tennis Classic Ac Leather Quickstrike in Pecan

Nike are just starting to send out their QuickStrike collections for the summer season. We have a number of shoes coming through and the first drop is this Nike Tennis Classic AC Leather ‘NSW Vintage Clay’ Pack. Simple, yet premium Pecan leather, the shoes are inspired by the Clay court season ahead. The uppers feature soft leather with a simple white sole unit and green trim line.
As soon as these Nike QuickStrike Classic Ac Leather shoes came into our store, Dan couldn't resist trying out another pair of Nike's. When we took them outide we instantly noticed their comfort and super-grippy sole, which would be great for use both on and off the court. The premium leather uppers also seemed to be highly durable and really looked the part in contrast to the fresh white soles.
