Urban Industry X The Daily Street Shop By Look
Wednesday 24/11/10 - 03.24PM
Urban Industry team up with UK streetwear blog, The Daily Street to create some guest looks.

Urban Industry is proud to announce the first range of 'guest looks' from The Daily Street for our recently launched Urban Industry Shop By Look section.
Now that we've found our feet with the new section we thought we'd start to introduce a number of special edition guest looks styled and modelled a broad range of people, either friends, brand reps, bloggers, or friends connected closely with Urban Industry Store.

We kick things off with eight brand new looks from Suffocake, Synamatix, Grizzle and Set In Motion from UK streetcar blog, The Daily Street. These guys were keen to get involved from the off and, with a free reign over our entire product range, they set out to their ideal looks with the 'if money was no object' theme to run with.
A huge range of different products and brands were selected out from the nearing 3000 individual products live on our site at any one time. The main backbones of the looks were supplied with clothing and footwear from Stussy, Carhartt, Penfield, Vans, Gourmet, Edwin, ONLY NY and 10 Deep/, while brands such as Brixton, , Nike and Jansport supported the looks with a collection of great accessory pieces.

The end result was eight very individual looks, all very specific to each person and reflecting their own personal style. It was interesting to see how everyone wore the clothing in their own personal way, be it with adding pin-roles and turn-ups to the denims, various layering of clothing or colour coordination of key items.

Suffocake “This is my East Coast US hardcore inspired fit, highlighting my love for what's coming out of New York at the moment both music and fashion. Only NY are one of my favourites; they continually kill it every season, and this pullover track hoody is one of my favourite bits - on that NY youth crew hardcore flex I am more than a little fond of. I couldn't resist adding in a bit of camo, and the 10 Deep High and Dry jacket has it nailed. I matched that with a pair of incredibly comfortable Gourmet Sedici's for a touch of class, and a simple Obey beanie on top.”

Synamatix “Currently I spend a lot of time traveling between the countryside and London and I wanted to try and reflect that in this outfit (hence the bag). This is one for those crisp, sunny Winter days when you don’t need to fully wrap up - it’s all about the layers. An outfit like this is good for all occasions, it can look smart and/or street and that’s useful when traveling.”

Grizzle “I chose this look to pay homage to a style trend that i really admire but sometimes find does not always suit me, this trend being heritage/work wear and this is my interpretation of it to suit my own personal tatses . The Carhartt Chore jacket is perfect example of some timeless worker wear, stiff, rugged, warm and full of stylish sensibilities. I never leave the house with out a head piece and Only's snap back collection is a shining example of the current increase of quality found in headwear these days.”

Set In Motion “This one is for those days when it’s cold, crisp and the sky is blue, the kind of look I’d go for whether going for a quiet walk with the wifey or for a busy day in the city. I’m big on olive, khaki, navy and tan colours at the minute and also a fan of camo. A touch of camo goes a long way and Stussy killed it with their light tone camo shirt, it can be a nice touch under lots of block colours. I chose the orange G-Shock to add that last touch.”
Big thanks to The Daily Street guys for making the trip down, expect more Urban Industry collaborations with this lot soon!

Nike Air Jordan Retro XI (11) - Cool Grey at Urban Industry
Monday 15/11/10 - 10.14PM
The Nike Air Jordan Retro XI (11) - Cool Grey gets a release at Urban Industry in Mid December 2010.

This is one of the biggest releases to finish off a fine year of sneaker drops, The Nike Air Jordan Retro XI (11) boot in Cool Grey.
After the release of the iconic Black version of this shoe last Christmas which caused riots at some US Sneaker stores, this Cool Grey version is set to bring the hype back. Michael Jordan made this shoe famous after wearing it in the Space Jam film of 1996, which was half live motion, half cartoon. The Jordan 11 became arguably one of the most desired Air Jordan Retro’s in the history of the Nike Jordan Brand.
These Air Jordan Retro XI (11) come in a presentation box with custom insoles and Jordan branded shoe inserts. We're looking at a Mid December 2010 release on these beauties and we don't expect them to hang around for long being one for the collectors and Nike Jordan heads everywhere. You can add you email to your size on the actual product which can be found on our store here. As soon as they arrive with us you will be notified by email, if we go to preorder earlier you will also be notified to make sure you don't miss out.
Urban Industry Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook...
Friday 12/11/10 - 10.42AM
As seen on Hypbeast and Highsnobiety... the new Urban Industry Fall/Winter '10 lookbook...

Last week we saw the launch of our new Urban Industry Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook which was snapped up quickly by the big hitting blogs such as Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, The Daily Street & BNTL to name but a few. Big thanks to everyone that featured the piece, it was great for us to get such a broad range of coverage.

Its that time of year again to start changing up the wardrobe, push aside the shorts and tee's to make way for those thick flannel shirts and winter jackets. Rusty coloured autumnal days and crisp winter mornings await.
Once again, put together a selection of what we consider to be some of the best pieces around from this fall/winter '10 season. You'll find a healthy selection of jackets, shirts and all the winter accessories that you will ever need from a huge selection of brands including, but not limited to, Carhartt, Penfield, The Hundreds, Stussy, Obey, HUF, Alife, Undefeated, Rebel8, Adidas X Ransom & Comune.
The setting for this particular lookbook is a place thats very close to our hearts. A local area surrounded with dramatic cliff edges and rolling hillsides, aptly named The Seven Sisters after its seven peaks and valleys that hug the meandering coastline along the South East coast of the UK.
Lookbook shot by Sean Hammett (sean@urbanindustry.co.uk) and styled by Urban Industry Store. Models: Raj Sidhu (DJ Odessa) & Chris Godfrey.

Supra Shoes drop their Holiday collection
Thursday 04/11/10 - 02.40PM
We've had a massive delivery of Supra Shoes at the tail end of last week...
Its that time of year when the US based brands start their Holiday deliveries, a nice load of new, fresh product just before Christmas. Supra shoes have dropped a large amount of footwear in the last week and a good drop it is. Keeping the standards alive like the Supra Skytop and Vaider boot with some sublte and some not subtle colourways as Supra always manage to do. Also some of the relative newbies to the Supra collection like the Supra Skytop 2 and TK Sociey also get a Holiday release with enough difference to keep Supra fans and newcomers very happy. Here's a break down of the delivery... |

Seems to be a bit more of a premium release for Supra shoes this Holiday season with good uses of full grain leathers, fleece fabrics and their patented TUF fabric. Colours are generally toned down into wintery greys and blacks, there's just the odd mad colour ups of the Supra Vaiders and TK Societys which always seems to get a more lively make over from collection to collection. All in all a strong season. |
