Obey Clothing UK X Urban Industry Store, Pasting the Artwork of Shepard Fairey

Simon Holmes, distributor for Obey Clothing here in the UK came down to the Urban Industry Store last week and pasted his largest Store installation so far. Using the Iconic Artwork of Shepard Fairey, Simon has recreated what the artist would do on a typical wall pasting for the benefit of our store and our customers. Starting off with a block of the classic Andre the Giant posters, Simon then went about building the piece with full strips of Obey pattern wall paper, and other smaller Shepard design 18 x 24 artwork posters. By ripping into the layer upon layer the effect of actual posters on the street takes shape. We filmed the entire day of pasting and got a quick interview with Simon who explains it all in the video.
